Tamera J. Grace (Founder)
Pulling from her own personal experience as a recovering addict who has been through several rehabilitation centers and sober livings alike, Founder Tamera Grace lends a personalized and relatable approach to her profession. It was her first hand experience that led her to the realization that there is a very pressing need for more sober livings which cater specifically to integrated health and a holistic approach to recovery. Tamera has spent many years studying holistic health and healing, she firmly believes in the importance of showing people in recovery alternative methods of dealing with pain, illness, and emotional stress. She has immense compassion for the suffering and an enthusiastic “let’s get into the solution” approach. She feels that an arduous journey builds a strong spirit and that the greatest light emerges from the darkest hours. Tamera has built an impressive network of some of the very best physicians, therapists, psychiatrists and health practitioners that Los Angeles has to offer. Guests at sunset statue can be confident that they are in great hands with Tamera and her experienced staff! -Sober since May 20th, 2007

Ursula Vari (Yoga, Spiritual Recovery)
I was kicking and screaming when a friend dragged me to my first yoga class in 2000. I was all about ‘performing’ for the teacher, my ego as large as the room itself. I couldn’t quite walk for 2 days after that , but I did notice that my chronic wrist pain was almost gone, as well as the dark clouds from my mind. Thus I went back. And a few months later while in Shavasana a thought came to me in form of a white light: “if I could do this for the rest of my life, I could truly LIVE! Mindfulness, spirituality, sobriety, a vegan lifestyle slowly snuck up on me. Trust me, it wasn’t my plan, it just happened. I am grateful that yoga allowed me to find myself, to care about YOU and the world, to prove that change is possible but it has to start within us. To me it is crucial to create the least damage possible on this planet, to care for each other, to touch each other with kind words and gestures, to make all beings matter. All of it starts within us, treating our bodies as temples of the spirit, the egoless state, the selfless mind, thus understanding that we all are ONE, we all are on this journey together.
In 2004, I completed my Power Yoga certification with Steve Earth. I also owe Ish Moran, Steve Ross and Andrea Marcum innumerable thanks for their light and teachings as well as Crunch for giving me a ‘home’ and Russell Simmons for letting me be a part of the Yoga Live crew.
